A remarkably fine late 18th early 19th century Italian Grand Tour bronze of a lion attacking a bull after Antonio Susini ( and reputably Gianbologne). The lion has brought down the bull who has turned his terrified face to the lion. Superb chisseling and finishing to the bronze and a wonderful patina. Set on a Sienna marble base. 6.25 inches wide by 3.5 inches deep by 4.5 inches high ( 12.5 cms by 9 cms by 11 cms)
