A fine pair of Russian early 19th century ormolu candlesticks. Set on circular bases with stiff leaf and dart decoration to the outside top edge, a burnished concentric circle and a cross hatched decoration within. A similar decoration is found at the bottom of the stem and is matched on the rim of the drip pan. The stem is bulbous with reeding and has a band to the centre of the stem cast with roses. The candles sconce is decorated with bands of stars and lotus leaves. Exceptionally fine casting and original fire/ mercury gilded ormolu.
