A magnificent quality English Regency table lustre of very good size. Set on four feet the bronze base is well modelled and cast and has its original gold lacquer finish. On it sits a "baiting" eagle with a lacquered bronze wreath about its neck. The eagle is superbly modelled back and front with fantastic detailing to the feathers. The single candle sconce is set on the eagles head and has fine lead crystal lustres. Circa 1810. Height 14.5 inches base 4inches by 4 inches ( 36 cms by 10 cms by 10 cms).
