A fine pair of French patinated bronze and parcel gilt figures of gladiators set on rouge marble bases. In outstanding condition the very well modelled figures are worked in very fine detail typical of this artist. Both gladiators wear full fighting armour including helmets and chains. This artist was working at the end of the 19th century.
