Full length convex porcelain panels to each side show arcadian scenes within jewelled gilt borders on blue celeste ground. Below the dial a fine shaped porcelain panel shows a courting couple in a rural idyll. The dial is of painted porcelain with birds and butterlies. Many of the ormolu mounts and mouldings are picked out in silver, something only ever done on the very finest porcelain clocks.
