A fabulous late 19th century silver and jewelled and enamelled singing bird box in its original leather case. In outstanding condition this case with filigree decoration is quite outstanding. Beautiful enamelling in excellent condition and with a profusion of pearls and set stones. The case has a key or snuff compartment to the back. On sliding the operating piece, in the form of a bird, the lid opens and the full bodied bird pops through the grille & begins singing.
