A very finely detailed fire or mercury gilt model of a spaniel lying on a well modelled stylised cushion. Of the English Regency period the dog is a long haired Spaniel and has been cast to perfectly follow the contours of the cushion with his tail trailing over the back of the cushion. Circa 1815. 3 inches wide by 2.25 inches deep by 1.5 inches high ( 7.5 cms by 5.6 cms by 3.75 cms).
