An exceptionally large and fine patinated bronze model of a sphinx. Very fine modelling and in excellent condition this is a product of the very finest workshop. Set upon an ebonized wooden base. Probably English circa 1820, oh for a pair. 8 inches high by 12 inches wide by 5 inches deep ( 20 cms by 30 cms by 12.5 cms).
