A stunning and extremely unusual orientalist bronze mantel clock of a camel and a Bedouin tribesman. Mottu brothers were working at Rue Grenville Saint Honore in 1840. The hands of Breguet form are of blued steel. The 8 day bell striking movement is regulated by a steel suspended pendulum. France circa 1850-60. 16 inches high by 15.25 inches wide by 9 inches deep ( 40 cms by 38 cms by 22.5 cms).
