A French ormolu mantel clock surmounted by a Paris porcelain urn with acorn finial and acanthus leaf scrolling handles, raised upon the barrel-shaped case, with porcelain dial decorated with painted birds, inscribed "Whytock & Sons, Paris", with black painted roman numerals, further painted panels below, flanked by female masks and ornate acanthus leaf scrolls, fitted eight day striking movement, by Japy Freres, raised on turned feet. Circa 1880. 13 inches high by 9 inches wide and 5 inches deep ( 32.5 cms by 22.5 cms by 12.5 cms).
