A very fine and smart pair of French Empire ormolu candlesticks. On circular bases decorated with concentric cirles of palm fronds, another of leaf and dart and to the centre amthemion. The stem rises on a cup first with a band of laurel, then a band of hatching, finally the decoration spirals up and terminates in cornucopia just below the nozzle. French circa 1815. 11 inches ( 27.5 cms).
