A fine antique English George IV Blue John fleurospar vase. Of excellent colour the Blue John from the Derbyshire Blue John mines around Matlock. This rarest of Fleurites , probably rarer than diamonds has beautiful intricate colours running through the opaque body. Set upon another sqaure piece of Blue John or more correctly "Frit" as a base and finished below with Derbyshire black marble. Superb piece. 8 inches tall ( 20 cms)..
