A lovely TRUE pair of Russian cast iron candlesticks of young women in flowing empire line dresses. The women have their hair up and each has snakes around their arms. Their raised hands hold a candleholder in the form of a lotus flower, again with a snake climbing the lip. Each of the candlesticks is marked with a signature that appears to be KYNEHKO but this is not as clear as I would like. They are also marked clearly underneath with further words and what could be the date 1909. 9 inches high by 4.5 inches wide ( 22.5 cms by 11 cms).
