A most attractive shibyama and lacquer table cabinet. In very good condition with no shibyama pieces missing. 8 external plaques of shibyama and one internal plaque. Fine lacquerwork to both sides, the top and the back of the cabinet. Open the cabinet and even finer lacquerwork is revealed. Four ivory finials on the base. 22.5 inches high by 15 inches wide and 11 inches deep ( 56.25 cms by 37.5 cms by 27.5 cms). Japan circa 1895.
