A very fine antique French Egyptian revival clock set of clock mounted with a sphynx with a pair of obelisks as garnitures. The clock of excellent proportions constructed of black marble and green Egyptian onyx. Engraved and painted Egyptian iconic motifs cover the clock which is mounted by a fine bronze sphynx. The gilt and engine turned dial with white enamel annular outside section set off with blued steel Breguet style moon hands. The eight day movement striking the hours and halves on a bell. The obelisks also of black marble and Egyptian green onyx with stepped base also decorated with Egyptian revival motifs.
