A lovely Italian antique marble bust of a mother with child. Very well modelled and carved with superb detail to both subjects. The young woman looking with great affection at her baby lying in her arms. She appears to be wearing a scarf and has a shift dress. The child is looking into his mother's eyes. Italian, circa 1890. Indistinct signature to the reverse. 22 inches high by 22 inches wide ( 55 cms by 55 cms).
