A very attractive small English Regency antique patinated bronze of a winged cupid or Putti sitting upon a pile of books. The cupid sits pensively, thinking, with one finger to his mouth and a ribbon over his shoulder as he sits on several volumes of books. The square base has a stiff leaf and dart moulding, bold leaf corners and flower and shell decoration. Original patination to the bronze. England circa 18206 inches high by 3.5 inches square ( 15 cms by 9 cms).
