Very good English Regency or George III antique neo-classical figural candlestick. Constructed of patinated bronze, mercury gilt ormolu and white marble. Set on a circular ormolu base, heavily knurled, the patinated bronze vestal holds the candle sconce on her head. An ormolu leaf support holds the white marble dish that carries the candle sconce itself. To each side of the candle sconce is a rams head holding a gilt steel ring. English circa 1800 -1810. 8.5 inches high by 3 inches diameter ( 21.25 cms by 7.5 cms).
