A very high quality antique deeply carved ivory and ormolu casket. All sides of the casket have fine and mint condition carved ivory plaques set in. The plaques are of carved flowers of various types, but all beautifully carved. The ormolu surrounds are very well cast. Around the base and bracket feet the design is of trailing vines while the mount surrounding the lid features figures in repose. Indistinctly signed to the base.
