A very fine English George III triple tea caddy. In excellent original condition.
The casket shaped caddy stands upon bracket feet to convex mouldings of cross grained mahogany. Above the moulding is narrow stringing of ebony and holly. Fine Flame Mahogany veneers to front, sides and back. The lid with ebony stringing, convex moulding to a flat top, quartered veneers surround the shaped, triple stringed border in holly and ebony.
