Antique gold and tortoiseshell snuff box with top panel of pique work in gold silver and abalone shell of flowers on a tortoiseshell background surrounded by rococco scrolls in gold and silver. The hinge and frame of the box in gold. The tortoiseshell of a good blonde colour. Probably English, early 19th century, circa 1820. 3.125 inches wide by 2 inches deep by .75 inches high. ( 7.8 cms by 5 cms by 1.87 cms).
