A fine 18th century French paperweight or objet d'art of an ormolu King Charles spaniel sitting on an oval Carrera marble base with recessed ormolu beading to the top edge. Original hand cut threads to bolt and nut. French circa 1785. 3.5 inches high by 5 inches wide by 3.5 inches deep ( 8.75 cms by 12.5 cms by 8.75 cms).
