A fine sculpture of a classical warrior's head in marble, alabaster and bronze from the turn of the 19th century. Set on a shaped marble base of antique vert and griotte marble the well carved figure, his head of alabaster and a grey marble cloak thrown over his shoulder. He wears a plumed helmet with visor and cheek protectors. A most attractive sculpture that would sit well on a bookcase or desk. Probably Italian circa 1895. 9 inches high by 7 inches wide by 3.5 inches deep ( 22.5 cms by 17.5 cms by 7.5 cms).
