A very finely carved ivory candles screen on a turned and carved tripod adjustable base. The screen itself carved from a rectangular piece of ivory in a scrolling rococco style depicting a herald standing beside his horse blowing his buge towards a castle in the distance.Certainly European and probably German circa 1870. 17 inches high and the screen 8 inches by 4.5 inches (42 cms high and 20 cms by 11 cms).
