A fine and sensual bronze and ivory sculpture of a young woman sitting on a bench, bending down to put on her shoe and rather falling out of her ballgown. Superb face and a very fine bronze, beautifully coloured patination to the bronze and the ivory in rather good condition with no repairs. Fully signed in the bronze and with foundry mark. Set upon a rectangular piece of antique vert marble. 10.25 inches high by 8.5 inches wide by 6 inches deep ( 25.5 cm by 21.25 cm by 15 cm).
