Pair of watercolours on ivory in ormolu frames with crowns to the top of each. Each watercolour very well painted with romantic scenes in a classical wooded scene with a castle in the background. One painting with a courting couple with a cupid and a soldier. The other rather more amorous with just the courting couple and the cupid, but the "gentleman" has his hand on the woman's breat. Superb matching frames. France circa 1890. 8 inches by 5.25 inches ( 20 cms by 13 cms).
