A fine quality French antique porcelain and ormolu mantel clock of the finest quality. Every one of the porcelain plaques that make up the clock are signed and numbered. The painting of the porcelain is of outstanding quality and of the best seen at the end of the 19th century when this clock was made. All of the porcelain is fully jewelled and in excellent condition. The ormolu is in mint condition but currently uncleaned. Cleaning of the ormolu will be done free of charge should the new owner wish the clock to be cleaned. Set upon foru toupee feet the clock is of square form with full size porcelain panels to each side with fine paintings of ribbons, flowers, musical trophies and scrolls. The jewelled dial with cupis and below the dial a figure of venus with a cupid. The clock is surmounted with a fine porcelain and ormolu urn, the porcelain jewelled and with fine a painting of a cupid to the front and a large relief of flowers to the reverse. Fine 8 day movement striking the hours and halves on a bell with steel suspended pendulum. Circa 1880.
