English figural candlesticks, a true pair of early 19th or late 18th century origin. Set upon a circular white marble base with a column of griotte marble set with an ormolu starburst mount. To the top of each ormolu capped column is an opposing woman in classical dress, very much in the 18th century style, holding an ormolu rococco floral stem upon which is set a decorated candleholder. English circa 1800 10 inches high by 3.3 inches diameter ( 25 cms by 8 cms).
