An ivory and wood seven piece band. Each musician stands upon a boxwood barrel and plays or conducts. Each musician has a well carved head, feet and hands and his instrument is also largely of ivory. The band consists of a conductor, a flautist, double base, cymbals, accordian, violin and bagpipes. They date from the late 19th century circa 1880 and are from the Black Forest region of Germany. 8.4 inches high by 3.6 inches wide by 2.8 inches deep ( 21 cms by 9 cms by 7 cms).
