A good antique French bronze sculpture of the Sphinx lying down on a black marble base. The very well cast and finished patinated bronze Sphinx with hieroglyphics to the sides and to the back. Set upon a black marble base with Egyptian inspired bronze mounts to the front of the base. French circa 1880. 15.5 inches wide by 10.5 inches tall by 6.75 inches deep ( 38.125 cms by 26.25 cms by 16.875 cms).
