A pair of French mid 19th century triform candlesticks in ormolu, patinated bronze and white marble. From a Louis XVIth design these candlesticks are well cast and gilt. Set on circular marble bases the hoof feet stand on an ormolu base with leaf decorated side moulding. The triform legs roise to goat's heads supporting a gadrooned patinated bronze dish from which rises the well finished candle nozzle. Frennch circa 1840-50. 7 inches high by 3 inch diameter ( 17.5 cms by 7.5 cms).
