A good French black marble and enamelled clock garniture with Egyptian revival patinated bronze mounts. To the top of the clockis a superb bronze of a Lamassu (human headed winged bull) figural pediment. The tapering case with Egyptian symbols flanked by bronze winged sphinxes on a tapering base. The two handled urns with bronze neck on a tapering black slate base. The handles with masks of a Pharoah. Each vase has individually painted motifs and hieroglyphics to base and bowl. The movement is key wound, of eight day duration with steel suspended pendulum and striking the hours and halves. French circa 1890. The clock 15.25 inches high ( 38 cms). The urns 12 inches high by 5 inches wide ( 30 cms by 12.5 cms).
