A good antique French ormolu and rouge marble four glass clock by the eminent makers Raingo Freres. The clock with original ormolu is surmounted by an ormolu mounted marble urn with a berry finial to the top. The columns to the four corners of the clock are in the form of arrows in a quiver. The base is surrounded by rouge marble in plaques and has fine ormolu stiff leaf mouldings. The fine white enamel dial has Roman hour markers and Arabic minute markers. The half hours are marked with a gilt fleur de lys. The dial is signed Raingo Freres a Paris and the hands are beautiful and are well pierced and gilt and in the Louis XVIth style. The 8 day movement with visible sunburst pendulum strikes the hours and halves on a bell. France circa 1880. 19 inches high by 10 inches wide and 5.5 inches deep ( 47.5 cms by 25 cms by 13.75 cms).
