Mystery clock by Imhof of Switzerland of silver gilt, Mother of Pearl and rock crystal. The hands move and tell the time with no visible means by which they can move. How do the hands move without any visible means of connection to the driving mechanism? That is the mystery. Of very fine quality and in Mint condition. The colours reflecting from the 56 individual pieces of mother of pearl is most attractive. There are twelve facets each side to the rock crystal and twelve mother of pearl; chapters, with the silver gilt edge between each chapter denoting the hour. The silver is fully marked. The base is engraved Imhof "Princesse" and numbered 031. Swiss. Second half 20th century. 6.25 inches high by 4 inches wide by 2.75 inches deep ( 15.75 cms by 10 cms by 7 cms).
