Antique and rare pair of patinated bronze figural two branch candelabra.
Set on winged paw feet to square black marble bases the figures are of Flora and Hermes or Mercury.
Each beautifully patinated figure is executed in fine detail and are on one leg standing on a wine ewer set on its side. Hermes holds his caduceus in one hand while Flora holds a large bunch of grapes.
Each holds in their other hand, held aloft, a
beribboned Thyrsus. Attached to each end of the thysus is a candleholder.
Very unusual pair of candelabra in exceptionally good condition.
French circa 1880.
