Antique English Regency pastille burner in patinated bronze. Of excellent quality and a good size. Set upon a triform base with stiff leaf moulding. Three dolphins, beautifully modelled cast and finished, set on their heads with their tails twisted and holding the bowl of the pastille burner. The rim of the bowl with a fine edge of leaf and dart decoration. The lid beautifully hand pierced with laurel leaf and forget-me-not flowers. Terminating in a bud finial. Still with the remains of burnt pastilles to the bowl and lid. English Regency circa 1810. 8 inches high by 4.5 inch diameter base ( 20 cms by 11.25 cms).
