An attractive Palais Royal piece dating from the early 19th century and possibly fom the workshop of Thomire.
The ormolu child stands upon an ormolu ball over a finely engraved piece of mother-of-pearl, the decoration is of a trailing vine with bunches of grapes.
The base is a well cast ring of ormolu decorated with flower heads.
The child with a belt of vine leaves around his waist and a head dress of vines and grapes holds up above his head an ormolu ring of vine and grapes.
French circa 1820.
7 inches high by 4 inch diameter at the base ( 17.5 cms by 10 cms).
