A good antique English George III 18th century decagonal tented ivory tea caddy with tortoiseshell stringing. A very lovely rich colour to the caddy from years and years of handling. Quite a low tented lid to the caddy with ten sections seperated with tortoiseshell stringing.. The lid with silver handle. The body of the caddy also having the sections seperated with tortoiseshell stringing. Silver escutcheon with key and working lock. Silver plate below with picquee work surround.. Original interior. Quite untouched and original caddy. English circa 1785. 6.25 inches high by 5.25 inches wide by 3.25 inches deep ( 15.625 cms by 13.125 cms by 8.125 cms).
