A very fine "Plique a Jour" enamel, silver and deep green guilloche enamel card case. The guilloche enamel is on the back and sides while the "Plique a Jour" or "Glimpse of Day" enamel is on the lid. The work is exceptional and the reverse of the lid is almost as beautiful as the front where the silver work is as good as the finest jewellers ring mount. The lid has an oval agate to the centre. The case is made of high grade 935 silver and the inside of the case is silver gilt. It is comprehensively signed.
