An attractive antique French watercolour on ivory depicting Diana the Huntress bathing in a river. The watercolour shows diana and a handmaiden bathing in a river with their game to the bottom right and her dogs and bow and arrows to her left. Beautiful light colour to the whole composition and a most attractive subject very comprehensively covered. The watercolour is clearly signed to the bottom right M. Gonnier. The attractive ormolu frame has old velvetset in and is covered to the back. French late 19th century, circa 1880.
