Guilloche enamel rectangular plaque with en grissaille painting in central cartouche as a front plate to an evening purse. The purse with gilt clasp and constructed of black suede leather with pockets and bevelled glass mirror within. Suede carrying handle. The magnificent and perfect plaque of canary yellow guilloche enamel with wavy lined engine turned pattern in rectangular shape around the outer edge. A smaller rectangle within marked in gold with circular wavy line pattern within. Within this a circle marked out again in gold with a very fine painting en grissaille, in shades of brown and white, of two young children kissing among flowers. The whole plaque surrounded by a decorative silver band. Probably Austrian circa 1920. 6 inches high by 4.5 inches wide by 0.75 inches deep ( 15 cms by 11.25 cms by 1.875 cms)
