Antique high quality gorge cased repeating carriage clock with 5 porcelain panels, all in excellent condition. The panels all with a pink ground and having jewelling in blue, red and white. The dial with a cupid flying within the chapter ring and another cupid below the chapter ring both with arrows and flowers. The three panels to the sides and the back door are all beautifully painted with flora and butterflies and other insects. The smaller panel to the top of the case is also decorated with a butterfly and a dragonfly. The eight day movement with oriinal lever escapement strikes the hours and halves on a gong and repeating the hours on the gong by pressing the repeat button to the top of the case. French circa 1880. 6.75 inches high by 3.5 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep ( 16.875 cm by 8.75 cm by 10.625 cm).
