Antique 19th century ormolu inkwell modelled as a lidded basket with a swing handle. Having a glass inkwell liner, a sand pot and two quill apertures. Very finely cast, the lid with gadrooned top and surmounted by a berry finial. Original gilding. 4.5 inches wide by 4.5 inches high with handle up and 3.25 inches deep ( 11.25 cms by 11.25 cms by 8 cms.
