Antique 19th century ormolu ink well. Very well cast with the hinged lid cast as a mound of fruit. The base as a sheaf of corn or a basket. Inside is a liner to hold the ink. Original gilding. Circa 1840. 3 inches high by 1.5 inches in diameter (7.5 cms by 3.75 cms).
