Antique and very unusual true pair of English regency lustre candlesticks of an owl and rabbit. Constructed of patinated bronze, ormolu and blue tarquin marble each with 12 lustre drops. The patinated bronze candlestick modelled as a tree stump with a well modelled owl standing on it and a rabbit on the ground below. The candleholder with reeded patinated bronze cup and with original drip pan. These are a true pair rather than two singles as the position of the rabbit and tree branch below the owl are a mirror image.
