A fine and large Russian 19th century watch stand in cast iron. Set on a stepped rectangular base with mouldings of acanthus leaf and dart decorated, kneels a fine figure of winged cupid. He holds up a rectangular frame decorated again with acanthus leaf and dart, but also with a Celtic weave with flower heads. To the back of the stand is a scallop shaped holder for the watch. It is stamped on the back of the case in cyrrilic text. 9.5 inches high by 5.25 inches wide by3 inches deep ( 23.75 cm by 13.125 cm by 7.5 cm)
