A pair of fine antique and good sized figural lamps in bronze of classical muses holding up lamps. Both maidens have their hair up and wear swirling long dresses that reveal their breasts. One holds a book and stands on another book. The other is holding the wand that Mercury holds in his hand and is associated with medicine, the "Caduceus". Both lamps work, the bronzes are in excellent condition. Circa 1895. 38 inches high ( 96 cm).
