An unusual summoning bell in the form of a tortoise. In superb condition the tortoise's bronze carapace is inlaid with Niello work in moorish patterns and has a moors head to the centre.. The bell is a wind up with integral key. It operates by pressing down on either the head or the tail. It was made by the boj company in Spain which was founded in 1905. Early 20th century 5.5 inches long by 3 inches wide by 2 inches high ( 13.75 cm by 7.5 cm by 5 cm).
