Antique English Sedan clock of typical form. Beautiful case of rich solid mahogany. This is not veneered but cut from the solid. The case is banded with brass and has a cast brass hanging loop. The brass bezel is original as is the fine convex dial and it has blued steel hands. The hours are marked by arabic numerals. The original movement has been replaced by an 8 day key wound lever movement by Smiths of England and it works beautifully. A lovely original case circa 1790-1810. 6 inches hgh by 5 inch diameter by 1.5 inches deep ( 15 cm by 12.5 cm by 3.75 cm).
