Antique model of a camel. It is an unusual 19th century advertising model of a camel for Charles Cammell Ltd Cyclops Works Sheffield. This massive steel making concern was employing over 4000 people in Sheffield alone in the late 19th century. In about 1903 the company merged with Lairds shipbuilding and as Cammell Laird was a major British shipbuilder till the 1990's when it closed down its shipbuilding yards..
